Hey so I did my first ever collaboration a couple of weeks ago! It was a really exciting experience for me because I’m so use to working solo and creating content on my own. Working in a group, where people have different roles to create one shared content was different. Different in the positive sense of the word. Its was nice not having to be responsible for everything from photography to creative direction.
I’ve always known that working in groups and with other people is vital. I especially know its importance from working in many groups while in school. But doing it outside of the classroom, was a richer experience. I was able to

participate in something I enjoy, but it was taken to the next level. This video shoot was proof for me that bringing together people with different backgrounds and specializations is a recipe for greatness. The outcome of this project was something I would not have been able to create all on my own; it really does take a team to build a dream!
Another thing I’ve learned to love about small collaborations, is that it allows me to let go of some control and to simply relax. I don’t have to worry about stressing myself out, how I’m going to do my make up, figure out what to wear, how to set up a camera on a tripod, and how to edit. All I had to do was show up wearing my outfit and with my hair done. Simple. The day was long but everyone had their part and did it well. When working with a team of people where everyone plays their position to a tee, you’ll discover the best results and less stress.

Now I’m not saying I don’t enjoy producing my own content and being in control of its direction, but it was nice to create content from a different perspective. It is something I would love to experience again in my future endeavors.
